REALITY BITES : LIVING ALONE

HEY GUYS,
It’s me Prachi here with a new blog on living alone: Reality v/s Expectation. Being independent and doing things on your own may seem very interesting in the beginning but as days pass your schedule turns upside down. As we know a coin has two faces, same goes for this situation too. So, without much talking let’s begin…

PROS:

1. Living alone is a completely new thing which makes you experienced and self-sufficient /independent.
2. You learn to wake up and sleep at right time because you are alone but there are a bunch of household chores. (well this can be both pros & cons)
3. You get plenty of time for doing things you like the most. (a little self-exploration is always good)
4. You can roam about freely, even without clothes…. within the four walls of course!!!
5. You can dance like no one’s watching…literally.
6. You miss your family more and get fonder of them…. unless you really hate them.

CONS:
1. Everything is so expensive.
2. You can’t watch scary movies.
3. Your new besties are emergency medicines, anti-creepy crawlies spray, torch and a stash of cash, preferably in low denominations.
4. You realise that the refrigerator does not refill itself.
5. Forgetting to take out the trash for a day results in a smell that no air freshener can combat.
6. Things don’t automatically travel back to where they are supposed to be kept.
7. Shopping for your favourite food is great fun but consuming them before getting spoilt is the real challenge.
8. Staying alone can be tiresome and hectic at times.

Living all alone doing up so much stuff may be a whole new zone, you may face difficulty at times. But that’s what life is. It’s always about challenges and overcoming those hurdles that makes you better day by day. Hope you enjoyed reading, stay tuned for more blogs…

MONSOON SKIN AND HAIR CARE TIPS

HEY GUYS,

It’s me Prachi here and I am back with some more self-care tips for both men & women this monsoon.

So people the rainy season has begun throughout the country and don’t we all love that fresh and refreshing showers after such hot summer days. The only problem is that, with the onset of monsoon comes hair and skin related issues. But not to worry this time because here I am with some tips and tricks that will be beneficial for you so that you can enjoy this lovely weather without any worries. Without further a-do let’s begin…

SKINCARE

For people with oily skin –

  •   Regularly washing your face with water or oil removal facewash 2 to 3 times a day will make you feel fresh and remove excess oil that accumulates in the T-zone of the face. Some facewash for oily skin type are Neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser, WOW apple cider vinegar foaming facewash, Nivea milk delight facewash, Himalaya herbal oil clear facewash etc.
  •  Scrubbing is best for oily skin to cleanse the pores. Biotique bio walnut scrub, Nivea skin refining scrub, MCaffeine coffee face scrub, Khadi natural face scrub are some amazing products.
  •   A myth prevails that during rainy season the skin is already damp so you need not moisturize it but it’s not true. Humidity too can affect skin and hence it advised to apply moisturizer daily. For oily skin water-based moisturizers are best. Mama earth oil-free face moisturizer, Lakme absolute skin gloss gel, Ponds super light gel oil free moisturizer are some products you can use.
  •  Good sunscreen is a must. Even though the weather is cloudy, harmful UV rays can still harm your skin. Try to buy sunscreen with SPF 30 and above. Plum grapeseed &sea buckthorn light sunscreen, Mama earth hydrogel, Lakme sun expert ultra-matte, Lotus herbals safe sun are some good sunscreen products for people with oily skin.
  •  Acne breakouts are very common during monsoon. Try not to prick your pimple as it can spread to other areas too. I would suggest you to avoid touching them also. Use salicylic acid-based products for reducing acnes and lesions.

For people with dry skin –

  •  The humid weather is good for people with dry skin but they should keep exfoliating their skin so that it doesn’t look dull. Mild facewash and scrubs are suggested and try to gently exfoliate or scrub. Biotique bio honey gel facewash, Plum hello aloe facewash, Everyuth Naturals moisturizing fruit facewash, Pears ultra-mild facewash are some products that you can use.
  •   People may have dry white patches so intense moisturization is required. I personally prefer Nivea soft moisturizer are best for people with dry skin. Other moisturizers that you can use are Plum green tea moisturizer, Cetaphil daily advance hydrating lotion, Lakme 9 to 5 aloe aqua gel, etc.
  • Keeping skin hydrated makes it look fresh so try to use hydrating serums and other hydrating products. Also take care of your skin’s pH.

SKINCARE ROUTINE PROTIPS –

·       Minimal use of makeup during rainy season is good. Allow your skin to breathe.

·       Moisturize your skin properly. Aloe vera gel is suited for all skin types.

·       The skin around eyes are sensitive so that need more care. Apply under eye gel or serum for better results.

·       While thinking about our skin we often forget about lip care. Scrubbing lips to remove dead skin help in preventing chapped lips. Also apply lip balm/gloss for keeping them shiny and plump.

·       Use products only according to your skin type.

·       Don’t skip toner as it helps in shrinking open pores. Try to use alcohol free toners.

·       Always remove your makeup before going to bed. Use mild facewash and then apply rosewater at night before going to bed. It helps your skin by hydrating it.

HAIRCARE

We all know that during rain our hair gets affected the most. They turn dull and get all frizzy. The three evils during monsoon are dandruff, oily scalp and hair fall. Nobody likes hair fall but the dandruff during this time causes itching and hence hair fall. Due to oily scalp the dirt sticks easily which makes our hair dirty so frequently. Also never use towel to dry your damp hair else they will turn frizzy, let them dry on their own it won’t take much time.

HAIRCARE PROTIPS –

  • Always and always wash your hair after getting drenched as it may cause the growth of lice in your hair. Hair wash 2 times a week is suggested.
  • Use wide toothed comb for detangling hair. It will help in reducing hair fall. Never brush wet hair, allow them to dry naturally then only comb.
  • Try to use hair dryers as less as possible for their regular use may cause split ends.
  • Use gentle and paraben free shampoo. You can use Himalaya gentle daily care shampoo, Mama earth argan oil shampoo, Sunsilk coconut water and aloe vera shampoo, Tresemme botanique nourish shampoo etc. I would personally suggest Bare Anatomy’s personalized shampoo, conditioner and serum. They are made particularly according to your hair type.
  • Conditioner is a must in rainy season. Also use serum to avoid frizz.
  • While oiling, take in concern that you don’t rigorously massage as it will cause more hair fall.
  • Use less oil and massage it through the scalp with the help of your fingertips. You can add vitamin E capsules to the oil according to the length of your hair. (1= for short to medium hair & 2 = long hair)

Hope you all liked it and that it would have been of some help to you all. Do leave feedback in the comment section. Till then stay tuned for more such blogs…

SELF GROOMING

HEY GUYS,

Its’s me Prachi here.

Generally, we all know that ‘First Impression Is the Last Impression’. Self-grooming is that possible way by which you can easily leave impact on others. In life, there are some tricks/ways to do things smartly that can have a significant impact on your quality of living and keeping yourself well-groomed is one of them.

To all the men out there, I just want to ask one thing do you think that grooming is a ‘women only’ topic? If your answers are yes, then please let me correct you. In today’s world nothing is just confined only to one gender. Looking good, taking care of oneself and personal hygiene are some of the basics that each and every one should take care of.

A common misunderstanding prevails that self-grooming among men is only related to hair and beard but in reality, it is much more than that. So, let’s look at what all things one should keep in mind regarding this….

HAIR

It is known to all, that men are fond of their hair but somehow are unable to take good care of them. They rarely comb or brush there hair properly. A good haircut and all is fine but taking care and maintaining that haircut in the same way is what you should pay attention to. Also cutting hairs at regular interval helps in better growth as well as prevents split ends (yes guys you too have split ends like girls…no need to be so shocked). Use of good shampoo according to your hair type along with conditioner is essential. And please guys at least do shampoo once a week to keep your hair clean. Also use hairwax and hair spray only when very necessary.

                     HAIR WAX BY NIRMAYA

BEARD

Well trimmed beard is good for formal looks but if you are fond of big beard then proper care is required. Boys having patchy beard should at least get clean shaved twice a month for getting proper growth and after that once in 2- 3 months. Beard requires time to time trimming so that it sets properly. Like you nourish your hair and oil it at regular intervals same goes for beards too. And yes boys I know some you might be facing problem regarding growth so for that I will suggest you to use beard oil and other such products from Beardo, Ustraa, The Man Company etc. They help in increasing the growth and thickness and give you that full russet beard you always wished for.

                              BEARDO HAIR GROWTH OIL

PERSONAL HYGIENE

This according to me is the most important point of self-grooming. It includes various things such as body odour, nail trimming, earwax cleaning etc.

Body odour is one thing that according to me is most important. Unpleasant or stinky person are a strict NO for most people. Bathing daily, wearing clean and tidy clothes (wear one shirt not more than two times), using deodorants (whether you take a shower or not…on both days) are things one should take care of. Try to carry a pocket perfume if you sweat a lot or even on summer days.

Long nails for boys is not considered good as they are mostly filled with dirt so please boys cut it and better use a nail cutter and not your teeth because it is really disgusting, I mean all that dirt directly right into your mouth…that’s ewwww!!!!

Ear wax is something men rarely pay attention to. Clean ear is as important as clean nails. And all that hair sticking out from some of your ears…please cut it as it makes you look very unattractive.

                             NIVEA MEN DEODORANT

DENTAL HYGIENE

I could have mentioned it in the above section but I wanted people to pay attention to this. Proper care of your teeth, regular dental check- ups and (the most important) keeping a check of your breath is necessary. Bad breath is a complete mood spoiler whether in an office meeting or on a date…Do Remember This!!! Always keep mouth fresheners in handy.

FACE AND LIP CARE

Face care is much more than the use of face wash and scrubs. The acne scars and blackheads on the face are something that should be taken care of.

Bio-oil is a very good product that reduces acne scars and other marks whether it be your face or other places.

Pinning should be done to remove the blackheads and whiteheads once a month as they only cause pore blocking resulting in pimples as well as acne.

Proper sleep cycle and drinking enough water can eventually lead to glowing face which applies on both men and women.

Chapped lips are not preferred because they do not look good/appealing. Scrubbing lips improves blood circulation which makes it look pinkish and removes all the dead skin cells.

                                           BIO-OIL

TIP – Wear well fitted but comfy clothes as it makes your personality very attractive and appealing. Also, it shows your well built figure. Once you look good and get praised then your confidence automatically boosts up.

Hope you all liked it and I wish it would have been helpful for you all.

Stay tuned for more such blogs.

The A to Z Of Being Single...

HEY GUYS,

It's prachi here with another blog.

Ever wondered what are the thoughts going on in the minds of single people whenever they see couples or their thought related to their relationship status. Well so here i am with an interesting topic that most of the singles can connect to, hope you all will like it.

Disclaimer : If after reading this the committed people turn single then i m not responsible for that 😅😅😅...I am in a happy relationship and hope that you all are too.

THE ABCs OF SINGLES:-

A : ALONE

Yes but not lonely. But make sure to be in contact with people before you reach WISH-IF-I-HAD-SOMEONE state while watching series and sobbing.

B : BREAK-UP

The very reason why you are single in the very first place (not to offend but some are single by choice too). The best thing about break-up's are that we get a chance to rediscover ourselves. the bubbly, moody, mad, unapologetic you.

C : CUPID HATES ME

That happens when you have met many cute guys/girls, even talked and exchanged numbers too but ended up finding them committed or else liking your friend! At that very moment you feel KILL CUPID.

D : DATE (-_-)

Once you have been single for quite long meeting new people in going out is irritating. Getting ready for a date with boring, stalkerish and weepy about their ex kind of people over comfy pyjamas and favourite series....quite torturous isn't it?

E : EX

You hate them, curse them, stalk them and even miss them but never admit it. You can never get them out of your mind....A lot of Ex-orcism to do.

F : FRIEND ZONED

There is nothing worse than being counted as 'just friend' or 'casual friend' by the person who you have crush on.

G : GLUTEN

All those time when you had that extra big fat slice of cake or all the junk and carbs that you ate to overcome the sadness of your break-up. Now no more worries to look attractive or beautiful for others...just enjoy who you are.

H : HAMMERED

This happens mostly when you hang out with your group either night outs or movies where everybody is committed except you. Keeping that constant smile between those awwwwww's and baby-shona is very difficult.

I : INDEPENDENT

Well being independent have both pros & cons. You can do what so ever you feel like and no explanation...in other words self-reliant or self- contained. But don't we all sometimes wish for joint decisions, savings, plans together or a bit of negotiation. Doing all alone sometimes feel like too much of burden.

J : JLT

'JUST LIKE THAT'...your fav phrase for any situation with shrugging your shoulders. The answer to every question whether it be meaningful or stupid. WHY?...because JLT dude.

K : KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR

All of you might have wished for one at some point or the other in your life. The truth be told, even girls check out boys not directly but from the corner of their eyes, so boys you never know when your luck might change.

L : LOVE

It's the word that makes your world go round but wait the same word makes you feel ewwww. It gives you butterflies in stomach when you are in love but pisses you off when you see a couple too much in love. Funny word isn't it.

M : MARRIED FRIENDS

What on earth is wrong with these people? Married couples be uploading photos with hashtags like couple goals, the chosen one, together forever, life etc. as if they have won some jackpot or unlocked world's greatest treasure.

N : NO STRINGS ATTACHED

Channeling a bit of Carrie Bradshaw(Sex And The City) surely keeps single life more happy and cheerful. Why mingled ones should have all the fun...

O : OK CUPID

Haven't been here? The dating website for lonely hearts or those looking out for casual hook-ups.

P : PERSONAL SPACE

The paradise you forever cherished for.The free time that you can use it your way doing most of it the way you like unlike your married bestie who have to take care of her hubby and the whole family. What a feeling...Oo la la!!!

Q : QUIET TIME

And it means really quiet, tolerating no more TVs or music in the background or that long phony conversation. Just time for self-love.

R : RELATIONSHIP STATUS

A severe pain in the ass. From passports to social networking sites family functions to even CVs. All of them want to know whether you are booked or not. How about being 'committed to self'?

S : SOLO TRAVEL

The very dream everyone have in their life....just you and your camera.Hitting the roads less travelled or going to the unknown meeting new people, one of the many perks of single-hood.

T : THIRD WHEEL

Hanging around with a couple being there third wheel can be very embarrassing. Making plans or hitting a dance floor is a pain.

U : US

The only existing us in your life is you and your pizza slice. The thought of you and me together is all well and good but you also know thats just in your imaginary world. No ground base reality check!!!

V : VALENTINE'S DAY

That time of the year which you hate the most. Those shops filled with Hershey's Kisses, Ferrero Rocher, pink and red balloons, heart shaped cushions....ahh these gives you heartache as well as headache.

W : WEDDINGS

Of other people of course, and the most frequently asked question by every other random person is 'Beta settle hone ka plan bana ki nahi?' And these indian aunts i must say are always like don't worry i will find a decent boy/girl for you. God nooooo.....hell no aunty!!!

X : XOXO

Hugs & Kisses....The very thing you are habitual of sending to your friends at the end of any message, but if sent to your crush by mistake leads to instant regrets.

Y : YOUNG FOREVER

Staying away from all those chemical products and make-ups successfully slowed down your aging process. Also by removing all the stress from your life you are happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine again. Age is just a number for you. #wink

Z : Zzzzzzz...

No more dark circles...wohoooo!!! Following your own rules of sleep cycle without any disturbance or late night phone calls. Can sleep for hours and hours ranging from early night nap, afternoon nap, evening nap to sleeping all day. After all beauty sleeps are very necessay.

So to all the singles if you were able to relate a bit also mention you feedbacks in the comment section....stay tuned for more upcoming blogs

Till then,

NAIL CARE AT HOME....JUST QUARANTINE THINGS

HEY GUYS,
It's me prachi here.
We all know that due to the increasing cases of covid-19 pandemic the government closed all the salons which of course is very disheartening girls!!!! But safety comes first, so to all the ladies who miss their manicure sessions here i am to tell you all how to take care of your nails during the lockdown.
I have personally experienced the fact that most of the girls suffer from the problem of breaking of nails and cannot grow healthy long nails. They have brittle nails that chip off easily and hence they require nail extensions which are very costly and have to be maintained well. Also routine nail care at salons costs a lot!!!
I am going to tell you not only about how to take care of your nails but also how to strengthen them. So let's get started.

  • Keeping nails clean - The very first and foremost thing is to keep your nails clean and hygenic. Cut your nails at regular intervals and avoid biting nails. It's not necessary that long nails are always healthy, sometimes health is important than length. Clean the inside using proper nail tools , but beware of digging as it can separate nails from palate.
  • Moisturize and massage - Like our skin our nails too need moisturization. Use of olive oils to massage cuticles makes them shiny and  provides them with all the essentials. It is important to keep nails hydrated. Regular massaging makes them strong.
  • Vitamin E and Biotin - They help in keeping nails stiff. Deficiency can cause splitting, peeling off etc. They are available in form of tablets and capsules and is suggested to be consumed daily as they have many benefits other than this. Sugar gummies or Sugar bears are good for hairs too.
  • See the products before use - The nail products that we use like nail polish and removers should be of good quality. Cheap quality products may damage the nails. I personally suggest in buying good quality og transparent gel nail polish as they play important role in nail's health. Alayer of base coat should be applied so that nails do not face all the harmful chemicals directly, also after applying of nail paint top coat of gel nail polish prevents chipping off and makes it long lasting.
  • Give your nails some rest - All the time application of nail paints, regular nail extensions, nail art and salon treatment makes our nails weak. Give them time to recover and heal. Learn to love them similarly like you love and care for your skin.

STYLING TIPS

Since it's summer go for bright shades that add up more to your look and make you look bubbly and cheerful. Bright shades of yellow or orange are perfect for floral moods. For cool and breezy look try shades of green and blue such as neon, mint green, turquoise blue etc. Pink is an all time favourite for girls and so is red. Go for neon pink shades or bubblegum pink for fair skin tones and onion pink, nude pink or peach shade for dusky skin tones.

HOPE YOU ALL LIKED IT.
KUDDOS!!!
